Romania reaches podium at the 2025 FIRST Championship robotics competition

Romanian teams climbed the podium at the 2025 FIRST Championship robotics competition, intended for high school students, which took place between April 16 and 19 in Houston, USA, informs the Ministry of Education and Research.

Remarkable results were achieved by the CSH Timisoara & Eastern Foxes Ploiesti team - an exceptional alliance, which ranked 3rd globally, TehnoZ Pitesti & Alphatronic Cluj-Napoca, which ranked 1st and 2nd in their division, and also achieved a world record score in an official match, Heart of RoBots Buzau, which ranked 6th in the division.

According to the same source, a number of four Romanian teams won 1st place wining a division award, and CSH Timisoara also obtained 2nd place for another award.

As many as 256 teams from over 30 countries participated in the competition, but all teams from Romania ranked in the TOP 10 in their divisions and returned home with prizes. AGERPRES (RO - writing by: Roberto Stan, EN - writing by: Cristina Zaharia)
