ECC2023/ Opera, operetta open-air festival in Park of Roses holds this weekend's cultural agenda of Timisoara
Timisoara, the European Capital of Culture ECC2023 brings in the following days the most awaited festival of the summer, the open-air opera and operetta festival, organized every end of August by the Romanian National Opera of Timisoara in the city's Park of Roses, a festival with music from all genres, in Bistra Forest, which connects Timisoara with peri-urban communes and another, for classical music.
At the same time, the Timisoara National Theater opens the season with a co-production show made together with artists from Austria and Luxembourg, and the agenda of cultural events continues with exhibitions, workshops, presentations of culinary identities.
The Romanian National Opera of Timisoara continues the tradition of events in the Park of Roses and presents, from Friday to Sunday inclusive, on the stage of the Summer Theater in the Park of Roses, the 18th edition of the Opera and Operetta Festival in the open air, a unique event in the lyrical landscape of the region.
On Friday, from 12:00 p.m., gastronomic art enthusiasts are invited to a new culinary event, as part of the Culinaria Banatica Lectures series, when they will explore the fascinating theme of Local Culinary Identity with guests, at the Gratarul cu staif in the Union Square.
On Saturday, the Triade Foundation and the Bel Art Novi Sad Gallery are organizing the "Untitled. Sculpture after Sculpture" finish at Cazarma U, from 2 p.m., where the exhibition of Serbian sculpture curated by Sava Stepanov is presented, offering all visitors the opportunity to discover the Serbian sculpture evolution from the beginning of this century, under the signature of 25 artists present in the project.
On Sunday, from 19:00, the Banatul Philharmonic awaits its audience at the extraordinary concert within the Eufonia Festival | Music for All, which concludes the Masterclass section of the event.
To these cultural events is added the exhibition offer at the city's museums.
The National Museum of Banat brings the permanent exhibitions Stefan Popa Popa's, The Military History of Banat and the temporary Prince and Sultan.
