The National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics - ICI Bucharest Romania launches ICI D|SERVICES (ICI Decentralized Services), the first European institutional platform for trading digital assets, which will manage NFTs (Non- Fungible Tokens) and will operate based on Blockchain and Web3 decentralized technologies.

This is the first government initiative to join the ecosystem of innovative applications built on the blockchain network - http://www.multiversx.com - MultiversX.

The platform will be officially launched on April 26, at the Palace of the Parliament, on the occasion of the "Critical Infrastructure Protection Forum" - https://cip-forum.ro/ - CIP Forum 2023, an international event focusing cyber security and critical infrastructures protection.

The launch of ICI D|SERVICES is an important milestone for Romania, as it highlights our country's commitment to digital innovation and technological advancement in the emerging decentralized blockchain and Web3 ecosystems.

At the same time, the launch of the ICI D|SERVICES platform and the institutional collections of NFTs at the CIP Forum 2023 highlights the first steps towards new opportunities for user interaction with institutions in Web3.

As part of the launch of the ICI D|SERVICES platform, there will be six institutional collections of NFTs available as digital collectibles belonging to: the AGERPRES National News Agency, the Romanian Olympic and Sports Committee, athlete David Popovici, Romfilatelia, the Central University Library "Carol I" and ICI Bucharest.

*** The collection of NFTs "Memories of Future Self" represents photographs from the award-winning archive of the AGERPRES National News Agency, with links to Romanian heritage through rare moments, immortalized in history.

*** The debut of the collection of NFTs "The Generational Circle" represents a recognition of the history of the Romanian Olympic and Sports Committee and the history of Romania's presence in the Olympic Games, realized virtually in the form of historical moments, represented by NFTs. The collection includes a special NFT-exclusive drop titled "ICONS of the Generational Circle" that pays tribute to legendary Olympic figures.

*** David Popovici, the Romanian swimming sensation and world champion, launches his first NFT entitled "ICONS of the Generational Circle." This is the first release from a collection that aims to pay tribute to the iconic personalities of Olympic sports. The NFT auction will start on April 26, 2023, on http://nft.ici.ro/ ICI D|SERVICES, the first European platform for institutional trading of NFTs.

"My first NFT is my personal way of honouring many of my heroes, outstanding personalities of Olympic sports, but also authentic models of dedication and perseverance, who can inspire younger generations to find their passion and become the champions of tomorrow, regardless of their chosen path. I am also very pleased to play a small role in launching the first government initiative of this type, which proves once again, on the one hand, that Romania deserves its reputation as a country of innovation and, on the other hand, that passion can fuel evolution in any field: from sports to the government sector," said David Popovici.

*** Romfilatelia, the only authority appointed by the Government of Romania to issue Romanian postage stamps, is launching a unique collection of 15 NFTs in the form of digital stamps, entitled "A World in a Stamp." The collection includes stamps that have been converted into NFTs with special attention paid to the first Romanian "Cap de Bour" stamps and the gold replica of the first 27 parale stamp, astronomical phenomena, famous Romanian actors, the history of royalty in Romania. The collection also includes stamps celebrating the Universal Postal Union and the documentary attestation of the city of Bucharest. Each NFT features beautifully illustrated layouts and details, rendered in gold foil and graphics printed with UV visible ink.

*** "Our A.I. Story - Central University Library Reimagined" is a unique collection of artworks generated by Artificial Intelligence that captures different aspects of the "Carol I" Central University Library, highlighting its rich history, its cultural importance and its role as a gateway to knowledge.

*** The NFT collection "Past | Present | Future" of ICI Bucharest represents a tribute of the institute for research and innovation in more than half a century of activity, combining the scientific progress and technological advances of the Web3 with creative and artistic expression.

The ICI D|SERVICES platform will function similarly to an existing NFT trading platform, serving public and institutional purposes by operating within frameworks of compliance, transparency and superior security. In the future, the ICI D|SERVICES platform will be able to serve society by trading and managing digital assets, as well as tokenized elements owned, generated and traded by advanced institutional ecosystems in areas such as education, intellectual property, insurance, real estate records, property titles, certificates of authenticity, energy certificates, supply and distribution chains, art, fundraising and many other assets suitable for digitization. The platform's decentralized network provides superior protection against cyber threats, ensuring a safe and efficient digital asset trading experience.

For the National Institute of Research and Development in Informatics - ICI Bucharest represents a remarkable step towards innovation by developing and building an operational framework for a sustainable economy, benefiting and encouraging the interaction between citizens, the business environment and institutional entities in the new decentralized digital ecosystems.
