Transports of products, other imported food ingredients must have document signed by sanitary-veterinary watchdog
Transports of products and other food ingredients of non-animal origin, imported through the border crossing control points, must be accompanied to the destination by the common entry sanitary document (DSCI-D), completed and signed by the inspector of the National Sanitary Veterinary Authority and for Food Safety (ANSVSA).
According to a press release from the Romanian Customs Authority (AVR), on November 2, 2022, the Order on the approval of the Norm for the safety of foods of non-animal origin, which establishes the conditions under which import, export and intra-union trade operations take place, entered into force.
Thus, the AVR representatives recommend economic operators to notify the ANSVSA structures at the entry point in advance of the arrival of the transport, at least one working day before the expected arrival of the transport, by completing the common sanitary entry document - DSCI-D, through the TRACES NT system.
The AVR recommendation aims to shorten the waiting times at the border crossing control points, respectively at the customs offices of destination, for products and other ingredients of non-animal origin that are intended to be imported (e.g. vegetables, fruits, cereals, etc., provided in annex 3 to the norm approved by order).AGERPRES(RO - author: Nicoleta Banciulea, editor: Andreea Marinescu; EN - editor: Maria Voican)
