Exhibition "140 Years of Diplomatic Relations between Spain and Romania" as of Thursday, at National History Museum
The exhibition "140 Years of Diplomatic Relations Between Spain and Romania," which illustrates the common history of bilateral relations between the two countries, which began in 1881, when the first Spanish legation was established in Romania, will open on Thursday, at 11.00 am, at the National Museum of History of Romania (MNIR).
According to a press release of the MNIR sent to AGERPRES on Wednesday, the exhibition includes the main state visits, such as the one made in Spain in 1979 by the President of Romania or the visit to Romania in 2009 of the Princes of Asturias, today the Spanish monarchs.
The most important cultural events are also presented - the 1929 Exhibition in Barcelona, the establishment of the Cervantes Institute in Bucharest and of the Romanian Cultural Institute in Madrid.
The exhibition is organized by the Spanish Embassy in Bucharest, in partnership with the MNIR, the graphic material being provided by the Romanian Embassy in Madrid, the Diplomatic Archive of the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the General Archive of the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation.
The exhibition will stay open until October 31, and can be visited from Wednesday to Sunday, between 10.00 am and 6.00 pm.
