Nearly 700 invention and research projects from 45 countries to be showcased at Euroinvent in Iasi
Nearly 700 invention and research projects from 45 countries will be showcased at the Palace of Culture between May 28 and 30 as part of a Euroinvent edition marking the coming of age of Romania's most important international innovation exhibition.
According to the organisers, researchers, inventors and representatives of academic institutions from Romania and abroad will present in Iasi 690 projects already registered for the inventions and innovations exhibition, as well as 120 scientific papers to be presented during the ICIR EUROINVENT international conference. Another 180 volumes will be displayed at the Book Salon.
'Beyond figures and statistics, Euroinvent functions as a meeting space for disciplines, generations and academic cultures. Over the years, the event has consolidated its role as an international platform offering visibility to applied research and innovation. The official opening will take place on May 28 in the Voivodes' Hall of the Palace of Culture, in the presence of academic delegations and representatives of partner institutions from Romania and abroad. This year's programme includes exhibitions, conferences and scientific presentation sessions, as well as meetings between researchers, inventors and representatives of the business environment,' event coordinator Andrei Victor Sandu said, according to a press release.
According to him, ahead of the official opening, an event dedicated to creativity and interdisciplinary dialogue will take place on May 25 under the Euroinvent umbrella, bringing together fields such as science, art and education. Contemporary art and visual expression works will be presented during the European Visual Art Exhibition.
The event is supported by the International Federation of Inventors' Associations and the World Inventions Intellectual Property Associations.
Euroinvent is organised by the Romanian Inventors Forum Association and the Association for Ecology and Sustainable Development, through the Europe Direct Iasi Centre, in partnership with the Gheorghe Asachi Technical University of Iasi, the Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iasi and other academic institutions from Romania and abroad.
