AGERPRES National NEWS Agency, public broadcaster TVR Cultural and actors Maia Morgenstern and Marius Bodochi were among the winners of the Radar de Media (Media Radar) awards which were presented on Tuesday evening at the RDM Summer Gala 2023.

News agency AGERPRES received the Myosotis Award for objective information.

"I know what news and journalism objectivity mean to my colleagues, and I know indeed what keeping one's standard high implies. After all, AGERPRES is the main source of information for Romanian media and things must stay like this. ( ...) It's an award for all my colleagues," said AGERPRES managing director Claudia Nicolae.

TVR Cultural was presented with the Myosotis Award for the relaunch of the station and for the comeback of its daily news segment Cultural Journal. Presenter Bogdan Stanescu and producer Mimi Necula accepted the distinction on behalf of the broadcaster.

"After this ten-year hiatus, [TVR Cultural] returns with a very important mission. It is very difficult to address an audience that is increasingly less interested in culture, but let us not forget that beyond our everyday identity, we have a national identity, and not a few times until now, culture has meant Romania's exclusion or inclusion in what universal culture means. (...) If we manage to understand what we as Romanians signify on a cultural level for Europe, but also for the world, (...) we will definitely all have something to gain," producer Mimi Necula said.

Actors Maia Morgenstern and Marius Bodochi were awarded for "The best Romanian thriller movie in the last 20 years" - Capra cu trei iezi/The Goat and Her Three Kids, a production directed and written by Victor Canache.

The event also saw the fashion presentations Eccentric by Alexia Dedu and Iconic by Ingrid BU and Svetlana Karahan.

Bedda Band, dance and electronic singer Mattyas, saxophonist Flavius Teodosiu and Romania's representative at Eurovision 2023 Theodor Andrei delivered the artistic moments of the evening.

Claudiu Dumitrache and Simona Taranu were the presenters of the RDM Summer Gala 2023.
