The parliamentary groups of the National Liberal Party (PNL) and Save Romania Union (USR) signed on Monday a parliamentary collaboration agreement for the sessions of this legislature, establishing among the priorities the reform of the administration, the electoral reform and the elimination of the over-taxation of part-time work.

'The parliamentary groups of the PNL and USR, both in the Senate and in the Chamber of Deputies, signed a parliamentary collaboration agreement to strengthen cooperation in the Romanian Legislature and we have also assumed a set of priorities that together, all the USR and PNL parliamentarians, who represent a third of the total number of parliamentarians, both in the Chamber and in the Senate, will support in this legislative session', the leader of the USR deputies in the Chamber of Deputies, Diana Stoica announced in Parliament.

She said that the priorities assumed by this agreement target the public administration reform already started by the Bolojan Government, the administrative-territorial reform, the electoral reform with the reduction of the number of parliamentarians, the elimination of the overtaxation of part-time work.

'The time has come, we believe, to find a solution at the parliamentary level for the efficiency and modernization of the public administration and the territorial administrative units in Romania. We need a reorganization in this regard and we will soon propose the option that we consider appropriate', Stoica added.

The overtaxation of part-time work, an 'injustice', she specified, must be eliminated as soon as possible.

'You cannot pay full taxes for a part-time work contract', Diana Stoica mentioned.

The leader of the PNL deputies, Gabriel Andronache, stated that the collaboration agreement is 'general and reformist'.

The PNL and USR have made public the collaboration agreement between the two parties, he added, imperatively demanding that the PSD make public the protocols concluded with the extremist parties in Parliament.

'We also want to know what they signed and what they committed to. Did they commit to submitting anti-reformist regulations? Did they commit to having votes to pass a PSD-AUR-S.O.S. Government, on issues that could put us in a situation of infringement? We want to know these things. It is good for them to be transparent, to publish these agreements that they announced. We are making this agreement public, which is a general, reformist collaboration agreement, and in this sense we also want to know what the toxic governing coalition of PSD-AUR-S.O.S. committed to. I believe that it is for the good of society for everyone to see these commitments that PSD has made. Anyway, they have already started to materialize them', declared Andronache.

According to the signed document, 'the objective is to coordinate, while respecting the independence and specificity of each political group, the activities of the parliamentary groups for the joint support of legislative projects initiated by them in the parliamentary procedure, the registration of new legislative proposals in the parliamentary procedure, the development of coordinated political activities for the promotion of public policies deduced from parliamentary initiatives and any other actions decided by common agreement by the two groups'.

Legislative priorities are established at the beginning of parliamentary sessions and are approved by each group separately, after prior consultation between the group leaders, the document also states, mentioning, among them, public administration reform, administrative-territorial reform, electoral reform and the elimination of over-taxation of part-time work.
