Drone crashes in Luncavita commune, Tulcea county

The dispatch of the 'Delta' Emergency Situation Inspectorate (ISU) in Tulcea county was notified via the 112 emergency number that a drone had been spotted near Luncavita commune and had reportedly crashed in the area of the Cetatuia stone quarry.

According to the Delta ISU, the crash resulted in an explosion followed by a fire, prompting a crew of five non-commissioned firefighters from the Macin Fire Brigade to respond to the scene with a fire truck.

'At 11:45, the National Military Command Centre notified the Inspectorate General for Emergency Situations (IGSU) that an air alert had been issued for northern Tulcea county, prompting a RO-ALERT message to be sent to warn and inform the population. The mission is ongoing and we will provide further information as it becomes available,' the Delta ISU announced.

The extreme alert message was sent to both the population in northern Tulcea county and those in the eastern part of Galati county. AGERPRES (RO - writing by: Luisiana Bigea; EN - writing by: Rodica State)
