Drone crash in Galati/ForMin Toiu: I summoned Russian Federation ambassador
Foreign Affairs Minister Oana Toiu announced on Friday that she had summoned the ambassador of the Russian Federation to inform him of the measures Romania will take at diplomatic level after a Russian drone struck a residential building in Galati.
'The incident is of unprecedented seriousness. I have summoned the ambassador of the Russian Federation to the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs this afternoon. He will be informed of the measures Romania will take at diplomatic level in response to this incident. It is important to mention that both during the night and this morning, both I and the Defence Minister informed our allied partners and the other member states of the European Union. So far, we have received messages of solidarity from many of them and this is very important because no country is alone in the face of these risks. We will respond with the necessary firmness,' Oana Toiu told TVR Info.
She mentioned that President Nicusor Dan will announce the decisions regarding the next steps.
