Iasi City's Palace of Culture becomes global innovation hub as EuroInvent takes place May 28 - 30

Imagine din galeria Agerpres

Iasi City's Palace of Culture has turned into a genuine international laboratory of the future for three days, with nearly 700 invention and research projects from 45 countries showcased at the 18th edition of EuroInvent - the European Exhibition of Creativity and Innovation running between May 28 - 30.

IASI - EUROINVENT

Covering fields from artificial intelligence and medicine to agriculture, robotics and green technologies, the exhibition brings together hundreds of researchers, inventors and academic representatives from Romania and 44 other countries. An additional 120 scientific papers are being presented at the ICIR EUROINVENT international conference.

IASI - EUROINVENT

'EuroInvent is a platform, a place where great ideas and great minds meet. It is where we celebrate innovation, a better future, peace, and where we pray for it. More than that, brilliant minds from around the world come here every year, for three days, to share, to create connections and to build together a better future for all of us. Our mission is very clear: to promote creativity, encourage collaboration and highlight the incredible achievements in science and technology. We aim to support the development and promotion of innovative ideas and to facilitate valuable connections between researchers, inventors and young students,' event coordinator, Professor Andrei Victor Sandu said in a statement to AGERPRES.

IASI - EUROINVENT

The event also includes a Book Salon featuring 180 books and volumes which will be evaluated and awarded. An art exhibition with 40 works by local artists is on display, and numerous workshops across various fields are scheduled.

IASI - EUROINVENT

'This year EuroInvent brings together numerous projects and contributions from around the world and from all possible fields: agriculture, medicine, IT and many others. As we have seen over the past three years, the main focus of research is shifting toward medicine, and in the digital era we live in, most innovations involve artificial intelligence. We are honored to host groups of inventors and researchers from across the globe. Unfortunately, not all international delegations were able to reach Iasi these days due to economic and political circumstances. EuroInvent is not just an event; it is a movement that plays an essential role in promoting innovation, supporting researchers and accelerating technological progress. Together we can shape the world,' Sandu added.

IASI - EUROINVENT

The event is supported by the International Federation of Inventors' Associations and the World Inventions Intellectual Property Associations.

IASI - EUROINVENT

EuroInvent is organised by the Romanian Inventors Forum Association and the Association for Ecology and Sustainable Development, through the Europe Direct Iasi Centre in partnership with the 'Gheorghe Asachi' Technical University of Iasi, 'Alexandru Ioan Cuza' University of Iasi, and other Romanian and foreign academic institutions.
