President Dan says consultations to focus on majority proposed for forming Gov't
Monday consultations at the Cotroceni Palace with parliamentary parties will start from the question of what majority they are proposing, whether a 'full', minority or technocratic Government, President Nicusor Dan said on Friday, mentioning that a pro-Western majority is needed.
'We will have talks on Monday, according to the Constitution. We will probably have discussions on Tuesday or Wednesday with other members of Parliament representing parliamentary parties. We are still in the process, there will be no announcement on Monday evening or Tuesday morning,' the head of state said after visiting the Black Sea Defense, Aerospace and Security (BSDA) exhibition.
'The most important thing and my request to all parties coming to the consultations (...) is: what the majority will be, whether we are talking about a full Government, a minority Government or a technocratic Government. (...) That is the essential question and that is where we will start the discussion,' Nicusor Dan explained.
