Dan: Romania-Ukraine agreement on countering drones will be finalised in two to three months
A Romania-Ukraine agreement on countering drones will be finalised in two to three months, President Nicusor Dan said on Friday at a news conference.
The collaboration of the two countries has two components, he added.
The first is the inclusion in the SAFE programme of a drone production component in Romania, with financing under SAFE 'and things will be signed, like all the others, by May 31.'
On the other hand, he added, there is a general framework, on which discussions have only just begun, for the broader phenomenon of drones, including anti-drones.
'There is an ongoing technical process that I would say that in a horizon of one, two, three months we will complete it. And the partnership that began at a strategic level in March (...) and which will be technically materialised, as I said, in one, two, three months will allow a much more flexible collaboration across the entire array of drones,' said Dan.
