PM Bolojan tells President Dan he will continue his term as Prime Minister
The PNL (National Liberal Party) chair, Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan, told President Nicusor Dan on Wednesday that he will continue his term as Prime Minister.
'I presented the PNL's position. This position reflects the decisions taken yesterday by the Political Bureau, namely that I will continue to carry out my mandate as Prime Minister. The PNL will support, both at government and parliamentary level, the Government's work so that we can manage the country under the best possible conditions in this difficult situation. We will support, both at governmental and parliamentary level, the important projects that need to be adopted in the immediate period ahead,' Ilie Bolojan said at the end of the consultations held at the Cotroceni Presidential Palace with the head of state.
President Nicusor Dan met on Wednesday at Cotroceni with PNL leaders, in the context of consultations with representatives of the governing coalition that he convened after the Social Democrats withdrew their political support for Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan.
