Drone in the vicinity of national airspace; two F-16 aircraft take off

The surveillance systems of the Ministry of National Defense detected, on Tuesday evening, the signals of a drone in the vicinity of the national airspace, in the north of Tulcea County.

According to a press release from the Ministry of National Defense, sent to AGERPRES, the target was reported approximately 20 kilometers north of Valcove.

In this context, the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations transmitted, at 19:17, a RO-ALERT message to inform the population in the northern area of Tulcea County.

To monitor the situation, two F-16 aircraft of the Romanian Air Force took off from the 86th Air Base in Fetesti, at 19:22.
