Romanian tech company earns international recognition for AI and automation innovation
A Romanian company founded six years ago in Cluj-Napoca has received two international awards for innovation in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and automation.
'Romania receives new global recognition in the field of automation and artificial intelligence. Company Makeitfuture earned recognition with two international awards at Waves '25, an annual event organized by Make, one of the most important global automation and AI platforms. In the competition that brings together specialists and leaders from all over the world, Makeitfuture received the titles 'No.1 No-Code Company in EMEA Region 2024' and 'AI Partner of the Year 2025', confirming its pioneering role in digital transformation at European level. The awards granted by Make at Waves '25 reward technological innovation, the measurable impact of projects and the company's fast pace of growth. The Makeitfuture team, dedicated to the development and implementation of AI solutions, demonstrated the ability to transform complex processes into high-performance automated solutions. A remarkable example that caught the jury's attention: the optimization of a customer support system that increased the automatic resolution rate of requests from 34% to 92% in just a few weeks - a result that traditionally would have required months of work,' a company release shows.
Eurostat data from January 2025 shows that only 3.1% of Romanian companies use AI technologies, placing Romania last in the EU, compared to the European average of 13.5%, the cited source notes.
At the same time, a Google survey conducted by Implement Consulting Group (2024), reveals that 54% of jobs in Romania will use generative AI, and large-scale implementation could bring an increase of 14 - 16 billion euros to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP), in ten years.
Founded in 2019 in Cluj-Napoca, Makeitfuture started as an automation experiment for a coffee business and has grown into one of the leading players in AI and no-code automation in the EMEA region.
With over 200 international projects delivered and employees across Romania, France, Germany and the UK, the company actively contributes to increasing digitalization and automation in Romania and the region, through products adopted in various sectors: financial services and banking, manufacturing, retail and e-commerce, technology and software, healthcare, logistics, education and public administration.
