ProEtnica Festival exhibition 'Images of Diversity' - an internationally one of a kind concept, official Geafer says

The exhibition "Images of Diversity" mounted at the 20th ProEtnica Intercultural Festival by the Inter-Art Foundation in Aiud in collaboration with the Department for Interethnic Relations (DRI) is an internationally one of a kind concept, as it encompasses contributions by artists belonging to all of Romania's national minorities, crafted during creative camps, DRI undersecretary of state Dincer Geafer said.
"The exhibition brings together a much larger number of works than we put on display in Sighisoara, and we are glad that these artists, who hail from the country's ethnic minorities, have answered the organizers' invitation to take part in this creative camp organized by the Inter-Art Aiud Foundation. Showcased at the ProEtnica Intercultural Festival are 22 paintings and two sculptures. They are just a small part of our collaboration with the Inter-Art Foundation, which organizes international camps every two years, interspersed with national camps that enjoy the participation of minority artists alongside creators from the predominant population. We are glad that Romania is given as a positive example. From this point of view, I very much wanted the exhibition to reach the international camp this year, so that I could make contact with artists from other countries, from various cultures. For them it was a novelty, and precisely the organization and the way how this camp aims to present all these riches of Romania's national minorities is unique both at European and global level," Dincer Geafer told AGERPRES.
President of the Aiud-based Inter-Art Foundation Stefan Balog gave on Friday a presentation of the exhibition "Images of Diversity" at the Sander Hall located next to the Clock Tower of the Sighisoara Medieval Citadel.
