DefMin Dincu says negociation, last chance for Russia to make peace with Ukraine

The negotiation represents the only chance for Russia to make peace with Ukraine, opined on Saturday the Minister of National Defense, Vasile Dincu, for the private television Prima TV.
"The war will continue (...) the only chance for peace may be the negotiation with Russia. Of course, it is a complex negotiation (...) The countries of the world, NATO, the United States should negotiate for Ukraine security guarantees and a peace with Russia. Ukraine alone will not be able to negotiate with Russia, because the political class in Ukraine at this moment cannot afford, assume (...) the loss of territories, an unjust loss of territories, after all. It would be too big a defeat for politics," Vasile Dincu assessed.
According to him, Russia has the resources to prolong the war.
"It would be ideal to reach a situation of negotiation, even if it were to reach a frozen conflict, the negotiation would still do more good than what is happening now, the destruction of human lives, property," Dincu said.
Defence minister Dincu went on and said that the only possibility to end the career of Russian President Vladimir Putin is for the system to find a replacement.AGERPRES(RO - author: Iulia Carciog, editor: Karina Olteanu; EN - editor: Maria Voican)
